The iphone 12 is expected to be announced in September or October this year and we’re already pretty sure what to expect from it. four new iphone models, all with squared-off edges, with sizes ranging from 5.4 inches through 6.7 inches.
And now we’ve been treated to new molds and CAD renders that show exactly that.
Both renders and molds are usually used by accessory manufacturers to ensure that their new cases and whatnot all fit properly. They need to know if screen sizes, bezel thicknesses, and overall dimensions are correct. As a result, these mockups also happen to be the best look at new iPhones that we get before they are announced.
That said, while these do show us much of what we’ve come to expect, they don’t make allowances for a potentially smaller notch or the arrival of a LiDAR Scanner akin to that used in the latest iPad Pro.
But we do get to see those edges that do away with the curves of the iphone 6 and newer, replacing them with the more angular and grip-friendly iphone 4 style we all loved back in the day.

At this point we’re pretty confident in saying that these are the iphone 12 and iphone 12 designs that we’ll see when they are announced in a few months. now we just need to see what software they’ll be running. Over to you, WWDC.
